The Open Society Foundations – Armenia (OSFA) is pleased to invite application proposals from non-governmental NGOs to conduct monitoring of coverage on online media and social networks covering at least one month before the election campaign in 2012 and the official campaign period.

Open Society Foundations-Armenia, in cooperation with Counterpart International and USAID organized a conference titled What Future for Democracy and Civil Society, which took place from October 6-8, 2011 in Ani Plaza Hotel in Yerevan.  The event brought together Armenian and international prominent experts in human rights, transparency and accountability and good governance and over 100 participants from 30 countries, including

The «Partnership for Open Society» Initiative, representing more than sixty civil society organizations, presented the monitoring report focusing on the administrative court.  The event took place on April 19 at the AUA Business Center (9 Alek Manoogian St.).

Opening the presentation, Mr. Hrayr Ghukasyan, an Associate Professor at Yerevan State University Law Department and OSF-Armenia Acting Board Chair mentioned that

The «Partnership for Open Society» Initiative, representing more than sixty civil society organizations, arranged a discussion titled “Amendments to the Electoral Code: New Guarantees for Free and Fair Elections”.  The discussion took place on April 11, at 10:00 at the Ball Room of the Best Western Congress Hotel.

The Policy Fellowship Initiative of the OSF-Armenia invites applications from junior and senior policy researchers eager to carry out rigorous and innovative study identifying the most critical open society challenges and developing practical solutions.  The aim of the fellowship is:

§         Enhance the capacity of junior researchers to influence the public policy-making process through mentorship including writing and methodology workshops

§         Foster participation of civil society in the process of public policy development stimulating debates at all levels of society around the most important policy areas

The «Partnership for Open Society» Initiative, representing more than sixty civil society organizations, presented the 4^th report on the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) Implementation in Armenia on March 9, 2011 at the Ballroom of the Congress Hotel.  The event was the first in a series of annual events dedicated to the memory of Amalia Kostanyan, the founder and President of Transparency International and a remarkable civil society leader.
