Conference titled “Human Rights Strengthening through Capacity Building of Selected NGOs”

A final conference “Human Rights Strengthening through Capacity Building of Selected NGOs” took place on 19 February 2010. The Final Conference provided the space to reflect on the major outcomes of the completed “Human Rights Strengthening through Capacity Building of Selected NGOs” program aimed at strengthening the institutional and advocacy capacities of six NGOs.

Unresolved problems with the human rights and civil liberties

On March 11 the MCC left the suspension of the funding for roads within the MCA-Armenia Compact in place. The initial suspension in June 2008 was motivated by unresolved problems with the human rights and civil liberties and the last decision not to lift suspension was due to insufficient progress in solution of these problems.
